Arrived Safely

Wednesday afternoon

Hey folks - Sorry that we didn't post before now. We did not find good access in the Frankfurt airport and couldn't connect last night when we got in.

Our flights to Chennai were long - as predicted - but uneventful. Thank you for all your prayers. They make a difference on protecting us from the distractions of the enemy as we prepare for the work here.

We were delayed for a while in Columbus before taking off and made up some time in the air, so we only arrived about 20 minutes late. Since we had a 4 hour layover in Chicago, the 20 minutes was not a problem... still plenty of time to kill. Our flight from Chicago to Frankfurt was uneventful. Both Steve's got a couple of hours of sleep on the overnight flight - Joe not so much. Our layover in Frankfurt was enough time for us to get a shower and to get something to drink and talk some. The flight from Frankfurt to Chennai was just LONG. After that long previously in the air, it is hard to stay awake, but that was the assignment. Stay awake, so that you can sleep in Chennai and get quickly on the India Time Zone. Because the US is now off of Daylight Savings time, the time difference is 10.5 hours ahead of the EST. As I am writing this, it is 2:20pm here and 3:50 there at home.

The HBI staff have given us a gentle introduction, we have had several meetings this morning and a couple of more meetings this afternoon planned. Our meetings have given us a better idea of what our teaching will need to be focused on. We are teaching on Saturday, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. Please pray as we put the finishing touches on those meetings that we will be responsive to God's leading in all of these sessions.
